my son called last night.
their offer was accepted for their first house.
they will be moved in by christmas!.
What a beautiful home! They will have a beautiful Christmas! I'd get him one of those exteded poles to hang lights with so he doesn't go on the roof! You know how pretty it will look with lights!
now that my "eyes are open" i was amazed as i sat at a brothers funeral {he died due to lukemia/not taking blood} the elder mentioned his "spiritual" acomplishments for 20 minutes, his worldly acomplishments like creating a home buisness from scratch and employing his whole family was mentioned in one sentence.
and worst...his worldly family was barely mentioned...he did not mention he was the son of so and so {worldly folks} this was commented on afterwards by worldly friends!???
too much time was spent talking about paradise and the hopes he had etc etc...same old bible verses that were done to death.....blah blah......we may as well have been at a communist party meeting!
I always hated JW funerals even as a JW. I was always offended that the person wasn't honored and the info-mercial was given instead. I wish you comfor Happyguy! It's sickening when you have to live through it for a loved one who wouldn't have wanted such a funeral! I am glad there was a pastor there to help you and that your cousins did your father proud and honored him and your memory respectfully.
Such simple questions to make a JW think! Well done!
if men got pregnant.
maternity leave would last two years ... with full pay.
there would be a cure for stretch marks.
I think truthseekeriam hit it on the nose! That's a good one! My dad is a fisherman and I can just see it! LOL! I would have heard what a "whopper" I was and that I was big enough not to throw back!
the economy is so bad that i got a pre-declined credit card in themail.. the economy is so bad i ordered a burger at mcdonalds and the kid behindthe counter asked, "can you afford fries with that?".
the economy is so bad that ceo's are now playing miniature golf.. the economy is so bad if the bank returns your check marked "insufficientfunds," you call them and ask if they meant you or them.. the economy is so bad hot wheels and matchbox stocks are trading higherthan gm.
the economy is so bad mcdonalds is selling the 1/4 ouncer.. the economy is so bad parents in beverly hills fired their nannies andlearned their children's names.. the economy is so bad a truckload of americans was caught sneaking intomexico .. the economy is so bad motel six won't leave the light on anymore.. the economy is so bad exxon-mobil laid off 25 congressmen.
Those are good! Love the Matchbox and Hot Wheels one and Motel Six! The exorcism one is funny too! Those were mine and hubby's favorites!
i asked myself if this was cruel.

This is sadistically funny. I bet that contraption was made by someone with scars all over their arms from trying to wash the poo off their cats tail!
The sad part is the amount of steam...it must have been hot in there. That's not good. I bet he scratches the heck out of whoever tries to put him in the car to go somewhere next time!
i love christmas time and decorating.
so sad it took me 25years to actually get to celebrate it!.
my son is already making his list.
What about something he couldn't have in JW land? My hubby wanted to try cigars. He has turned into liking to have one at work each day. Last year I bought him chocolate ones...he was excited...then a little disappointed when he discovered they were chocolate. I didn't want to contribute to his demise from tobacco! This year...he's getting a nice box of real ones! I'm betting he's going to think they're chocolate! LOL!
He's gotten a brass Zippo lighter with a cougar on it (He loves mountain lions), I've gotten him nice pens with engraving from Things Remembered for his shirt pocket. He loves having a nice pen to use at work. He loves coffee...so he got an expresso machine and coffe grinder for a birthday. One of his favorites was a nice CASE jack knife. He loves them.
Hope those ideas help. They're pretty economical too! The pens and lighter were about $25 each and the knife was $50. The expresso machine and grinder I bought at Walmart for $50 for both of them. The cigars will probably set me back 50-100. A new beard trimmer is something he couldn't have back then either!
i have been awol for a while.
i lost my husband to cancer after a long couragous battle of 5 years.
i honored his wishes with a catholic mass.
Hugs. I am so sorry for your loss, but so glad he was honored as he wished! Glad you have that peaceful memory!
my son sent this pic of my youngest granddaughter, bailey (20 months old) all dressed up in her arielle costume... made me giggle!.
coffee .
Omg! She's so cute! Save those shoes for St Patricks day! She'd be a cute little lehprican! (spelling?)
